Tiger Mountain, 12/26/2007

A wonderful day in the snow.  We hiked from highway 18 to the top of something.  There seems to be about ten Tiger Mountains--Tiger Mountain East, Tiger Mountain West, Tiger Mountain West 2, Tiger Mountain West 2.73, etc.  The peak we went to the top of was covered in radio towers, and the elevation was 2,950 feet.  The journey was eight miles round trip.  We didn't get to see many interesting native plants because they were covered in snow, but that was okay because the snow was so beautiful.  The dogs had fun romping in the snow.  Porter accumulated snow in the fur of his feet, but I think this was just an annoyance, not a serious problem.  Their feet all seem to be fine.  My new GPS worked perfectly, guiding us to the top and back.
